-About-
Mana Mode is a quiet space for people who love games but don’t want to rush through them.
I’ve always enjoyed RPGs and JRPGs , the worlds, the stories but over time I realised I was sometimes playing against myself. Chasing trophies, perfect runs, or trying to experience everything “the right way” took away some of the joy that made me fall in love with games in the first place.
Mana Mode is my way of stepping back and this blog encourages slowing down and enjoying your gaming experience more.
Here, you’ll find reviews, guides, and reflections written from a casual perspective for players who want to enjoy games without pressure. I write about playing imperfectly, missing content, starting over, and learning when it’s okay to just stop and enjoy the moment.
This Blog includes:
- Thoughtful game reviews
- Mindful Play; reflections on the psychology of play
- Gentle guides, alongside my personal game journal
- And a Quest Log of games I’m curious and excited about- this will include upcoming games
I don’t score games by how difficult they are or how much content they offer. I pay attention to how they feel how they fit into real life, real energy levels, and real moods. I am a gamer just like the rest of you and in my reviews I will share my honest opinion of how it feels to play the game.
Mana Mode isn’t about being the best player or completing everything.
It’s about finding a gentler way to play. Play at your own pace; stop chasing and enjoy!
If that sounds like you, you’re in the right place.
Play gently. Mana Mode.
