Quest Log: First Boss, First Liberation; The Quarry

After several shorter sessions, I finally spent some proper time in

Crimson Desert around two hours and it felt like a real turning point.

Closing the First House Roberts Quest

This session saw the completion of the House Roberts questline.

It’s satisfying reaching the end of a longer thread like this, especially in a game that encourages you to take your time. It didn’t feel rushed — just a natural progression from everything that came before.

First Boss: Excavatron

The highlight of the session was taking down my first major boss:

Excavatron.

This fight immediately stood out.

Unlike earlier encounters, this boss hits hard. It demanded a bit more attention and preparation or at least, it should have.

Fortunately, I found an approach that made all the difference:

The Beehive Club.

Using it made the fight much quicker and far more manageable. It turned what could have been a drawn-out battle into something controlled and satisfying.

Still, it was a clear step up in challenge a reminder that the game has more to offer beyond its slower early pacing.

Liberating the Quarry (Karin)

After the boss, I moved on to liberating the quarry.

This was less planned.

I went in with limited food and preparation, which added a bit of tension to the encounter. It wasn’t the most efficient way to approach it, but it made the experience more engaging.

Despite that, I managed to push through and complete it.

Sometimes those slightly unprepared moments end up being the most memorable.

Reset and Prepare

To close out the session, I returned to town.

There’s something satisfying about this part of the loop:

  • selling goods
  • restocking supplies
  • preparing for what comes next

It creates a natural pause a moment to reset before heading back out.

Session Reflection

This session felt like a shift.

From early exploration… to real progression.

A completed questline.

A first boss defeated.

A new area liberated.

And now, for the first time, it feels like I’m properly equipped and ready to move forward with both the main quest and deeper exploration.
