The Quest Log isn’t a record of progress. It’s a record of presence. This is where I note how and what I’m playing not how far I’ve gone. Some entries are short. Some weeks are quiet. Some games return again and again, while others fade without ceremony. That’s intentional. Mana Mode is about playing when it feels right, stopping when it doesn’t, and letting games be part of life not something to keep up with. Each Quest Log entry is a moment of reflection. A pause. A reminder that rest is also part of the journey.

Quest Log: Casually strolling through Hernand
Today’s session in Crimson Desert felt different. Not in a big, dramatic way but in the pace. Just Moving Through the World This was a short and casual session. It didn’t feel like I was pushing through objectives or chasing progress. Instead, it felt more like I was just… strolling. Moving through the world, taking…

Quest Log: First Boss, First Liberation; The Quarry
After several shorter sessions, I finally spent some proper time in Crimson Desert around two hours and it felt like a real turning point. Closing the First House Roberts Quest This session saw the completion of the House Roberts questline. It’s satisfying reaching the end of a longer thread like this, especially in a game that…

Quest Log: First Bounty Claimed and Challenged to a Duel
Another short session in Crimson Desert. A First Step Into Bounty Hunting During this session, I claimed my first bounty. Tracking down and catching Jeffery the pickpocketer felt like a natural extension of the world not just another task, but something that added to the sense of living within it. It wasn’t overly complex or…

Crimson Desert Quest Log 4: Returning to Hernand
Another short return to Crimson Desert but one that felt like a clear step forward. Back to Hernand This session brought me back to Hernand, and with it, the start of Chapter 2. There’s something grounding about returning to a familiar place in a game like this. After the early exploration and first discoveries, coming…

Quest Log 3: A Town Worth Slowing Down For
Today’s return to Crimson Desert: It was another short session around 30 minutes but it might have been my favourite so far. Rediscovering the Joy of Towns, I spent most of this session simply exploring the town and it made me realise something. It’s been a long time since I’ve genuinely wanted to explore a…

Quest Log 2: Small Steps Into a Vast World
Crimson Desert Daily Quest Log 2: Small Steps Into a Vast World Returning to Crimson Desert today was a short session only around 30 minutes but it still felt meaningful. This is the kind of game where progress doesn’t always come from major story moments. Sometimes it’s found in the smaller interactions, the quieter discoveries,…

Quest Log: Beginning a New Path in Crimson Desert
Daily Quest Log: Crimson Desert Some games don’t naturally fit into the rhythm of ManaMode. And yet, from the moment I started Crimson Desert I knew this was a journey I wanted to document. This is a game I’ve been looking forward to for a long time. It’s vast, ambitious, and built around exploration a…

Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined- Arrival in Al Balad
Quest Log: Arrival in Al Balad Today’s session in Dragon Quest VII: Reimagined brought me to the desert town of Al Balad. The shift in atmosphere was immediately noticeable. After spending time exploring earlier areas, arriving in a desert settlement gives the world a different kind of character. The architecture, the music, and the NPC…

Quest Log: Dragon Quest – The Search for Tablet Fragments Continues!
Quest Log — Dragon Quest VII Quest Log: Returning to the World of Dragon Quest VII Reimagined After spending a little more time with Dragon Quest VII, the game’s rhythm is starting to reveal itself. The opening hours move slowly, but that pace feels intentional. There’s something calming about wandering through the early areas, speaking…
